We love the Washington County Fair! My twin sister and I have been celebrating our birthday by going to the Fair for 20 years now, it's awesome because this Fair always takes place the week of our birthday. I bring my children and husband with me now, we always have a great time. My kids love going on the rides, the ride tickets can get expensive but we only go to the Fair once a year so it's worth it to us. This year it ended up raining for about 10mins, thankfully my family came prepared with umbrellas, but then we were able to see a triple rainbow! It was so pretty! Also, we all love Fair Food, my all time favorites are Bloomin Onions and Fresh Lemonade but we always buy fudge/candies too and the Maple Barn always has something delicious to try. My whole family loves being able to walk through multiple barns and see so many different animals, we really like the poultry barn and my youngest son absolutely loves the goats and sheep. My husband and my older son like to watch the Tractor Pulls. I really feel like the Washington County Fair has something for everyone.
We had a great time taking our pups to see the Christmas lights display!! They absolutely loved it and were so excited! ❤
Recommend bringing cash, a backpack, sunglasses, sun hat, umbrella, and your most supportive sneakers (your feet will thank you later). Highly recommend a cider slush, very refreshing!
Just like Washington County within nys, it is unique, has lots of space, is nicely arranged and with loads of exhibts. Very well kept and good shows too!
I purchased tickets for their Holiday Lighted Nights. The event page did not accurately reflect their location as Washington County, NY vs. Washington County, PA. I first reached out via email for a refund. No one responded to my message. After calling, I spoke with the incompetent and rude staff who instructed me that refunds would cost them way too much money and was beyond the capabilities of their system. Instead of offering an alternative way to make things right, such as sending a check in the mail, they stated there was nothing else that could be done. Unfortunately, I won’t be getting my money back and my time slot will not be able to go to someone else locally who may enjoy the event.
I always have fun at the fair, but this year was a bit hot. I wish the rides weren't so expensive, too. But I love the affordability of the food in the volunteer booths. This year, there was a crepe vendor, but the selection was not so great.
